Noah Camin, 20, is a junior at Virginia Tech who is double-majoring in Business and Multimedia Journalism. Noah's favorite hobby is photography and he hopes to one day be a photographer for National Geographic.

"Compromise is key," said Camin when asked how he balances his busy life. He said that it is very hard to balance class, homework, friends, a relationship, and club sports while also trying to find some personal time.

Noah played club hockey for Virginia Tech in the past and currently is on the crew team and clay target team. Noah says that he tries to just take things day by day and that he doesn't want to be the guy that is always doing work.

Noah believes that something has to fail because he is stretched very thin. While school is his top priority, he has taken this semester to focus more on his girlfriend and his friends. Furthermore, the crew (rowing) team is very important, but the club clay target meetings have fallen by the wayside.
Noah got a start in photography by learning from his mom, who had her own darkroom for photo development when Noah was growing up. Noah says that they are very close and that his mom is his biggest supporter and fan. After Noah took a short hiatus from photography, he rediscovered his love for it after he found an old camera in his closet. Noah then enrolled in photography courses both in and out of school.

In high school, Noah was a sports photographer for the sports teams of his school. However, after getting annoyed with being asked for all the pictures he had taken of the players, he decided that nature photography better suited him.

Noah has participated in student photography expeditions put on by National Geographic that took him to Iceland and Alaska. He believes that nature is more interesting to capture, and being an introvert, is pleased that he doesn't have to deal with the subjects asking about the photos.

"I got to meet some really cool people," said Camin in regard to his student expeditions. He was able to meet people with his dream job and establish connections that will hopefully pay off with a job in the future.
